Classic Mettal Iron 004 Fine is a ready-to-use metallic paint with fine iron particles, offering a natural, brilliant finish with an elegant texture. Compatible with microcement, concrete, ceramics, wood, plasterboard, and metal, this solution provides character and sophistication. It belongs to the Classic Mettal range, designed to achieve metallic or rust-effect finishes with great visual impact.

Main Features

• Water-based metallic paint with real iron particles.

• High adhesion on multiple substrates; for low-absorbent surfaces, a primer such as PRIMACEM Plus is recommended.
• Ready-to-use product, no dilution or additives required.

• Sealing with Topsealer WT One Coat is recommended to extend its resistance and shine, especially outdoors or in high-traffic areas.

How to Use

1. Prepare the substrate: firm, clean, dry, and dust-free.
2. Priming: apply PRIMACEM ABS (absorbent substrates) or PRIMACEM Plus (non-absorbent); let dry for ~1 hour.
3. Application: spread 1 coat of Classic Mettal Iron 004; let dry.
   • Natural iron effect: polish with 400 grit sandpaper once dry.
   • Textured polished rust effect: apply 2 coats, allowing 4 hours of drying between each. After 24 hours, sand with 120 grit, apply Mettal Activator, and proceed with sealing.
4. Sealing:
   • Metallic finish: apply 2 coats of Topsealer WT One Coat, with 24 hours of drying between them.
   • Rust finish: apply Mettal Activator, then 2 coats of Presealer, and finally 2 coats of Topsealer WT One Coat.
   
   

Performance

Approximately 0.2 kg/m² when applied with a trowel. May vary depending on the substrate and technique used.

Storage Conditions

Store in the original closed container, in a dry, cool (10–30 °C), and ventilated place. Shelf life: up to 12 months from manufacturing if stored correctly. Do not apply outdoors if rain is forecast.
